Linux Sys Admin

About The Position

Kadabra is looking for an enthusiastic Linux Sys-admin who specializes in web server maintenance to Join our Team. You will be a key player in our dynamic team, offering technical support to our SEO department and ensuring optimal performance of our web infrastructure.

Set up, configure, and maintain web stacks

Manage and maintain domain list and DNS configs

Support dev teams to finetune web stacks

Support marketing teams’ system and WordPress config needs

Perform backups, security maintenance and other system needs

Be ready on call for emergency over the weekends and holidays

Requirements

• Deep understanding of the Linux operating system and file system hierarchy - Minimum 2 years Experience.

• Configure Linux-based VMs from scratch.

• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot WordPress sites.

• Debug and resolve technical issues across the web server stack.

• Manage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean).

• Configure and maintain Nginx and reverse proxy setups.

• Handle DNS and networking configurations.

• Ensure optimal system performance and uptime.

 

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS).

• DNS management and networking skills.

• Proficiency in Nginx, including reverse proxy configurations.

• Basic understanding of Docker and containerization concepts.

• Be ready for on-call support to address urgent issues.

 

Advantages:

• Bash and Python scripting.

• MySQL database management.

• Knowledge of CDNs for caching, deliverability, and performance.

• Strong researching skills and an open-minded approach to problem-solving
